Jace is growing leaps and bounds everyday. And by growing, I mean GROWING!!! At 8 1/2 months, our 'little' boy is in the 93rd percentile for weight, at an astounding 23 lbs. He is in the 93rd percentile for height as well. Could we have a baller on our hands? Do I dare even hope? I am amazed at his constant transformations. While he's not quite crawling yet, he is getting around quite nicely by rolling and scooting...backward. I'll put him down to run the bath water and turn around to find him in the next room. The kid is as curious as can be. He wants to touch and explore everything. And inevitably, it all ends up in his mouth. Could this be the reason he's been sick ALL WINTER SEASON? We had another Primary Children's visit a few weeks ago and got to spend the night in RTU again...same room as last time...not so memorable. Jace had a bad case of RSV. Now, while they didn't have to cath him or spinal tap his back, they did have to stick the hose down his throat and into his chest SEVERAL times. I think they suctioned enough mucus to fill a small garbage bad. (Sorry for THAT visual:0) He came home on oxygen and had to wear it for three days afterwards. Boy, that was fun. He didn't try to pull that out of his nose every chance he could. Poor guy! Sometimes I wonder if he wonders what on earth he signed up for. His little (again, little is relative) body has been through so much. I hope we are through the worst of it.
I treasure his smiles, his coos, his slobbery kisses, and his sly looks. He is full of life and will undoubtedly give us a run for our money as he gets older. But he's worth it. Oh yes. He is definitely worth it.
About Us
- thebugspot
- Scott and I have been married for 8 1/2 years now. We have two beautiful children, Isabelle Rose and Jace Andrew. We live in Centerville, Utah in a townhouse that we LOVE! Scott recently switched jobs (again) and went to work for Scott Hale Plumbing, Heating and Air. This switch has been a tremendous blessing for our family and Scott is really liking the service end of the Heating/Air business. Butterfly Wings and Tiny Things has kind of been fazed out. We had a successful run, did a lot of boutiques, made quite a bit of money, and got burned out:) So, for now we are doing special order magnet boards only. It keeps up busy enough. Scott and I love waterskiing, watching movies, going on drives, and really just being together. We hope you enjoy our blog!
